Foreign travelers visiting Bangladesh can now apply for on-arrival and transit visas online, following the full operational rollout of the digital service on Wednesday, according to the Immigration Police at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) in Dhaka.
Under the new digitized framework, incoming foreign nationals eligible for visa-on-arrival or transit facilities can access the application portal directly by scanning a designated QR code or visiting the official immigration portal to fill out their entry clearance forms.
The online platform enables inbound passengers to complete their visa submissions prior to their arrival in Bangladesh, significantly streamlining port-of-entry immigration clearance and reducing wait times at airport counters. Detailed instructions and application gateways have also been integrated into the HSIA Immigration Police portal.
