Jamal Bhuyan signing the brand ambassadorship agreement with Nagad at Hotel Sheraton
Bangladesh national football team captain Jamal Bhuyan has officially joined Nagad, one of the country's leading mobile financial service providers, as its brand ambassador. The partnership was formally cemented on Tuesday during a signing ceremony held at the Sheraton Dhaka in the capital, where Bhuyan inked the agreement in the presence of Nagad's Administrator, Md. Motasim Billah. Through this strategic collaboration, the state-backed financial service provider aims to drive greater financial inclusion, specifically targeting sports enthusiasts and the nation's youth demographic.
Under the initial six-month contract, Jamal Bhuyan will participate in various promotional campaigns and direct consumer engagement initiatives designed to accelerate the adoption of digital financial services among sports lovers. Sharing his reaction after signing the agreement, Bhuyan expressed his delight and honor to represent Nagad, recalling his positive past experiences working with the company and praising its previous World Cup campaign. He highlighted that Nagad's innovative customer-centric services, attractive promotional drives, and rewarding campaigns have transformed the country's digital transaction landscape and brought meaningful benefits to the people.
Welcoming the national football icon into the Nagad family, Administrator Md. Motasim Billah stated that the company has actively sought to forge strong ties with Bangladeshi footballers, adding that Nagad plans to collaborate with more prominent athletes in the coming days as part of its ongoing commitment to supporting sports and sportsmen across all tiers in Bangladesh. The signing ceremony was attended by senior Nagad executives, including Senior Associate Administrator Syed Himayanuddin Ahmed, Associate Administrator Anwar Ullah, Chief Commercial Officer Shaheen Sarwar Bhuiyan, Chief Financial Officer Afzal Ahmed, and Head of Marketing HUM Mehedi Sajjad, among others.
