Bangladesh Krishi Bank observed the 90th birth anniversary of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman on January 20, 2026, through a discussion meeting and prayer session held at the bank’s auditorium. The programme was jointly organized by the Employees’ Union (CBA) and the Officers’ Welfare Association.
Renowned writer, literary figure, essayist, and tutor of the Zia family, Ruhul Amin, attended the event as the chief guest. Former General Manager Hefzur Rahman, Nationalist Forum Chief Coordinator Md Zahid Hossain, Officers’ Welfare Association Convener and agriculturist Syed Liaqat Hossain, Assistant General Manager Md Jahed, Women’s Forum Convener Tasleema Akter Lina, and central leaders of the CBA spoke as special guests.
The discussion meeting was chaired by CBA President Fayez Uddin Ahmed, while the session was moderated by CBA General Secretary Md Miraj Hossain.
Following the discussion, a prayer (doa) was offered seeking eternal peace and forgiveness for the departed soul of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman. Deputy Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Md Khaleduzzaman was also present at the doa mahfil.
