Shanta Holdings is shaping the skyline of Dhaka, the handover of Pinnacle marks a new benchmark for commercial high-rise developments in the city. The handover ceremony held on 18th April marked a significant milestone in the country’s real estate sector. Located in Tejgaon, the tower rises 500 ft above the city and stands as the first completed 40 storied skyscraper, reflecting a shift in scale and construction capability in Bangladesh.
The handover ceremony held at level 40 of the tower, was attended by the Board members of Shanta, along with senior officials, landowners, clients and its architect Ehsan Khan. The ceremony celebrated not only the successful completion of Pinnacle, but also reaffirmed Shanta’s commitment to delivering world-class commercial spaces in Bangladesh.
At its core, Pinnacle represents a new standard for sustainable development in Bangladesh. The development is LEED Platinum certified, positioning it within the highest tier of environmentally responsible buildings globally, while reinforcing its alignment with international standards of performance. It has been designed with safety embedded at every level, fully compliant with the latest NFPA fire safety standards and equipped with the latest fire detection and protection systems. Moreover, the structural design by Meinhardt Singapore has incorporated the latest regional guidelines for earthquake resilience. The building also introduces several firsts, a record breaking 7-day slab cycle using aluminum formwork enabled accelerated construction, achieving the fastest civil construction in the industry. A 6.8 COP centrifugal chiller with zero ozone depleting potential refrigerant, ensures energy efficiency while reducing climate impact. MERV 13 systems significantly improve indoor air quality and enhance occupant health and comfort. It’s also the first wind tunnel tested building in the country, to enhance structural stability. Its façade comprises 42 mm thick unitized glazing, while 8 lifts operating at 4 meters per second speed offer the fastest vertical mobility in the country. Furthermore, the entire building is driven by a fully integrated Building Management System (iBMS), ensuring operational intelligence and live monitoring of all assets.
