Janata Bank PLC has been recognized as one of the top ten banks in Bangladesh for its outstanding contribution to remittance collection in 2025.
The bank received the "Top Ten Award" during the opening ceremony of the 'Branding Bangladesh' World Conference Series 2026, organized by the Center for NRB at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in the capital recently.
The event was graced by several high-ranking government officials:
Chief Guest: Zahir Uddin Swapan, Minister for Information and Broadcasting.
Special Guests: Shama Obayed Islam, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Md. Nurul Huq, Minister of State for Expatriates' Welfare and Overseas Employment.
Chabikun Nahar, Deputy General Manager of the Foreign Remittance Department at Janata Bank, formally accepted the award on behalf of the institution.
The ceremony was presided over by M.S. Shekil Chowdhury, Chairperson of the Center for NRB, and attended by distinguished guests and non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) from various sectors. This recognition underscores Janata Bank's significant role in channeling foreign earnings and supporting the national economy.
