Gold prices in the local market have been reduced once again, according to the Bangladesh Jewellers’ Association (BAJUS).
The price of gold has been cut by Tk2,159 per bhori. As a result, the price of 22-carat gold has now fallen to Tk240,336 per bhori, down from Tk242,495 on Wednesday.
BAJUS announced the new prices in a statement on Thursday (30 April) morning, saying the revised rates came into effect at 10:00am.
The association said the price adjustment was made following a decline in the price of refined (pure) gold in the international and local markets.
Under the new rates, 22-carat gold is priced at Tk240,336 per bhori. The price of 21-carat gold is Tk229,431 per bhori, 18-carat gold is Tk196,655 per bhori, and traditional gold is Tk160,147 per bhori.
