Bangladesh Ambassador to Thailand Faiyaz Murshid Kazi held a meeting with senior officials of Cambodia’s Ministry of Commerce to strengthen bilateral trade and economic cooperation.
Faiyaz Murshid met Kem Sithan, permanent secretary of state, and Samheng Bora, secretary of state at the ministry, during the talks.
Both sides focused on expanding trade between Bangladesh and Cambodia and reviewed opportunities to deepen commercial engagement.
They also explored the possibility of launching a direct Dhaka–Phnom Penh flight to improve connectivity and facilitate business exchanges.
The officials discussed plans to convene the first Joint Trade Council (JTC) meeting between the two countries to create a formal platform for advancing trade relations and addressing mutual concerns.
