International Workers' Day 2026 was celebrated in a festive atmosphere under the joint initiative of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees Union (B-985, CBA), Officers' Welfare Association, and Women's Forum. Held on May 1, 2026, the program featured a colorful rally, discussion sessions, and various activities focused on workers' rights and welfare. The event was attended by key figures including Md. Zahid Hossain, Chief Coordinator of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Jatiyatabadi Forum (Deputy General Manager); Syed Liakat Hossain, Convener of the Officers' Welfare Association (Deputy General Manager); Faiz Uddin Ahmed, President of the Employees Union (CBA, B-985); Md. Miraj Hossain, General Secretary of the CBA; and Taslima Akter Lina, Convener of the Women's Forum, along with officials and employees of various levels. Representatives from the International Labour Organization (ILO) were also present, emphasizing the importance of maintaining international standards to ensure labor rights, safe working environments, and social security. Through the day-long program, calls were made to honor workers, increase awareness, and strengthen mutual harmony and unity. Finally, the Bangladesh Krishi Bank authorities expressed their firm commitment to continuing worker-friendly initiatives in the future.
