Islami Bank Bangladesh PLC held a comprehensive fire prevention, extinguishing, rescue, and emergency evacuation drill at its head office, Islami Bank Tower, on Tuesday, May 5, 2026. The exercise was organized to ensure workplace safety and enhance coordinated emergency response capabilities among the bank's staff.
The event was attended by top management, including Md. Altaf Husain, Managing Director (Current Charge), and Engineer Mohammed Jamal Uddin Mazumder, Additional Managing Director. Other key officials present included Senior Executive Vice President Md. Aminur Rahman and Lieutenant Colonel (Retd.) K F S Ohed, Head of the Safety and Security Department.
Representatives from the Fire Service and Civil Defense also played a vital role in the drill. Deputy Assistant Director Md. Enamul Huq, along with Senior Station Officers Md. Ruhul Amin and Asheq Al Maruf, supervised the proceedings alongside other executives and employees of the bank. This simulation served as a proactive measure to prepare personnel for potential fire hazards and to streamline evacuation protocols within the high-rise corporate environment.
