Turkish Airlines has been honoured with the prestigious “Best International Airline of the Year” award at the International Tourism Awards 2026.
The award was presented to the airline’s Country Manager, Islam Gure, during a colourful ceremony organised by the Tour Operators Association of Bangladesh (TOAB) at Hotel Sheraton in Banani, Dhaka, on Sunday.
Turkish Airlines has been operating flights from Bangladesh to destinations across the globe with a reputation for reliability and quality service. Under the leadership of Islam Gure, the Turkish flag carrier has further strengthened its position in Bangladesh’s aviation sector.
The ceremony was attended by State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism M. Rashiduzzaman Millat as the chief guest. The event was presided over by TOAB President Md. Rafeauzaman.
At the same programme, US-Bangla Airlines received the “Best Domestic Airline” award.
The event was attended by senior TOAB leaders, aviation industry stakeholders, tourism entrepreneurs and diplomats from various countries.
