Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC organized a half-day financial literacy workshop at its Uttara Branch on June 20, 2026, focusing on cashless transactions under the theme “Financial Literacy: Ensuring Safe Cashless Transactions.”
The workshop was jointly arranged by the Risk Management Division of the bank’s Corporate Head Office and the Uttara Branch. Managing Director of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC Mr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed attended the event as the chief guest.
Customers from six different branches, along with officials of the concerned branches, participated in the program. The event was conducted by Mohammad Abu Shaeum, Head of the Risk Management Division and Financial Inclusion Unit of the bank.
Detailed discussions and presentations on the use of cashless transactions were delivered by Khondaker Bedeura Mahbub, Head of the IT Division and CTO of the Corporate Head Office, and Md. Riyad Hossain, Head of the Card Division. Uttara Branch Manager Abu Hanif also spoke at the event.
Other branch managers present included officials from Airport Road Branch, Savar Branch, Joydebpur Chowrasta Branch, Ashkona Branch, and the DSE Annex Building Sub-Branch. Speakers highlighted the benefits of cashless transactions, noting that they save time, reduce transaction risks, and improve overall banking efficiency.
