Shahjalal Islami Bank Foundation has provided a financial grant of Tk 1 million to support the treatment of 12-year-old Hossain Ahmed, who is battling blood cancer.
Hossain Ahmed, the son of Md. Kamrul Islam, a driver and resident of Boro Bazar under Airport Police Station in Sylhet, received the assistance to help cover his medical expenses.
The cheque was handed over on June 29, 2026, by Ahmadur Rashid Chowdhury, Manager of Shahjalal Islami Bank PLC's Subidbazar Branch, to Hossain's father, Md. Kamrul Islam.
The foundation said the financial assistance reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting people in need, particularly those requiring costly medical treatment.
