The Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) has increased gold prices once again in the domestic market, raising the price of the highest-quality 22-carat gold by Tk 1,633 per bhori.
Under the revised price list, effective from 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday (July 22), the price of 22-carat gold jewellery has been set at Tk 224,182 per bhori (11.664 grams), including VAT.
The updated prices are:
21-carat: Tk 213,859 per bhori
18-carat: Tk 183,608 per bhori
Traditional-method gold: Tk 150,232 per bhori
BAJUS said the latest adjustment was made due to an increase in the price of refined gold in the local market. The new rates will remain in effect until further notice.
The association also said making charges will be added depending on the design of the jewellery. VAT is already included in the listed prices, and customers will not be charged additional VAT at the time of purchase.
