The three-day 64th Bangladesh International Education Expo 2026 began on Thursday at Hall-2 of the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), bringing together universities, education consultants and study-abroad experts from around the world.
Organised by Fair Convener International, one of South Asia’s largest international education expos will continue until 25 July. The event remains open to visitors from 10am to 8pm daily, with free entry for students and guardians.
More than 2,500 universities from over 45 countries are being showcased at the expo, allowing prospective students to explore higher education opportunities under one roof.
IDP IELTS, a co-owner of the IELTS test, is the powered-by partner and official IELTS testing partner of the event. Studyza is the digital platform partner, while Chaka is supporting the expo as the official event partner by providing exhibition interior design and stall construction services.
Alongside the main expo, separate European, Malaysian and UK education expos, as well as business-to-business networking sessions, are also being held at the venue.
Among the universities participating directly are Malaysia’s SEGi University and VIT Mauritius, the Mauritius campus of India’s Vellore Institute of Technology.
Leading Bangladeshi education consultancy firms, including DHAKA IELTS CENTRE, Knowledge Hub, Dream Study International, H&H Global Education, Edu Mentor, Bright Future by Sam, Study Window International, Admission Connect, TopTier Education Consultant, Aims Education, Mastermind Digital, MIE English Academy, MIE Pathways, Russian Center for Education, Sticker Visa, EduQuest, Educare Education & Migration Bangladesh and Master Sab, are also taking part.
The opening day witnessed a strong turnout of students and parents seeking information on overseas education.
Visitors are getting opportunities to interact directly with university representatives and attend seminars on scholarships, admissions, visa procedures, language test preparation and career planning.
The organisers have also continued their environmental campaign, titled the ‘One Crore Trees Initiative’, as part of this year’s event.
Speaking at the event, Fair Convener International Chief Executive Officer Mahmud Galib said the expo is more than just an education fair.
“When a Bangladeshi student steps into the world in search of knowledge, they carry the flag of Bangladesh with them. Our goal is to help talented students access the world’s best universities with the right information and guidance,” he said.
He added that Bangladeshi students are now making significant contributions to renowned laboratories, classrooms and technology sectors around the world.
“Our journey has shown that students today are much more informed -- they ask questions, compare options and make well-informed decisions. That is our greatest achievement,” he said.
Director of Events and Sales Ashikur Rahman Tanvir said the fair had been designed to help students compare universities and study destinations in one place instead of relying on a single institution.
“The expo will continue for two more days. Those who have not yet visited still have the opportunity to come on 24 and 25 July. Visitors will receive guidance on everything from scholarships to career planning,” he said.
The event’s official media partners include Daily Sun, Bangladesh Pratidin, Kaler Kantho, News24, BanglaNews24 and Capital FM.
