Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (CBA-485) on Monday observed July Mass Uprising Day 2026 with a discussion, prayer session, and an art exhibition featuring drawings by the children of Bangladesh Krishi Bank employees at the bank’s head office.
The programme was organized to commemorate the anniversary of the July Mass Uprising and to pay tribute to those who sacrificed their lives during the movement.
Chief Guest Advocate Shamsur Rahman Shimul Biswas, MP, Chief Coordinator of the Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, said the July Mass Uprising symbolized the struggle for democracy, justice, and people's rights. He paid tribute to the students and citizens who sacrificed their lives during the movement and urged everyone to play a responsible role in the country's progress.
Special guests included Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal President Anwar Hossain, Bangladesh Krishi Bank Chairman Mohammad Nurul Amin, Managing Director Sanchita Banite Ali, Bangladesh Banks Employees Federation President Md Rafiqul Islam, and Sramik Dal Publicity and Publications Secretary Manjurul Islam, among others.
Speaking at the event, Chairman Mohammad Nurul Amin described the July Mass Uprising as a significant milestone in Bangladesh’s history. He urged the bank’s officers and employees to uphold the spirit of the movement by performing their duties with honesty, transparency, accountability, and professionalism.
Managing Director Sanchita Banite Ali called on bank officials to embrace the ideals of the uprising by improving customer service, expanding technology-based banking services, and contributing to agricultural transformation across the country.
The meeting was chaired by Faez Uddin Ahmed, President of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (CBA) and Executive Member of the Dhaka Central Executive Committee of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal. The keynote address was delivered by the union’s General Secretary, Md Miraj Hossain, who is also an Executive Member of the Dhaka South Committee of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal.
The programme concluded with a special prayer seeking eternal peace for those who lost their lives in the July Mass Uprising, speedy recovery for the injured, and continued peace, welfare, and prosperity for the nation.
Among those present were Bangladesh Krishi Bank Deputy Managing Directors Md A. Arhim and Md Khaleduzzaman, general managers, senior executives, officers and employees of the bank, leaders of Bangladesh Jatiyatabadi Sramik Dal, and central and grassroots leaders and activists of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees’ Union (CBA).
