A special doa mahfil was organized on Sunday (August 16, 2026) after Zuhr prayers at the head office of Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) to mark the 82nd birth anniversary of former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia. The event was arranged by the BKB Employees Union (CBA) B-985.
During the program, speakers paid rich tributes to Begum Khaleda Zia, recalling her extensive political career and significant contributions toward establishing independence, sovereignty, democracy, and citizens' rights in Bangladesh. They highlighted her legacy as the country's first female prime minister, emphasizing her pivotal role in national politics and democratic movements that earned her enduring respect across the nation.
Presided over by BKB CBA President Fayez Uddin Ahmed, the meeting featured speeches by Bangladesh Krishi Bank Officer Welfare Association Chief Coordinator (Deputy General Manager) Md. Zahid Hossain and Convener (Deputy General Manager) Syed Liaquat Hossain, among others.
The prayer session was attended by the General Manager of the Dhaka Division alongside officers and employees of all levels within the bank.
