The Textile Innovation Expo-2026 will be held at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) in Dhaka from 12 to 14 November, aiming to position Bangladesh as an innovation-driven manufacturing destination.
The organisers disclosed the information at a press briefing at Pan pacific Hotel in the capital on Monday.
The Expo is organised by Textile Innovation Exchange (TIE), co-organised by Textile Innovation Center, with ITET, BKMEA and BGBA, and implemented by Textile Today Innovation Hub (TTIH).
The press briefing was attended by Md Enayet Hossain, president of ITET Bangladesh; Imran Kader Turjo, director of BKMEA; Md Abdul Hamid, president of BGBA; Sumayel Mohammad Mallik, senior vice president of ITET; ASM Hafizur Rahman Nixon, secretary general of ITET Bangladesh and member of the TIE Steering Board and Ehsanul Karim Kaiser, chairman of Textile Innovation Exchange (TIE) and executive chairman of Textile Today Innovation Hub.
They said the country’s textile and apparel sector must move beyond reliance on low-cost labour, energy and mass production, and focus on innovation, higher-value products and better efficiency to stay competitive globally.
The Expo will feature four theme zones: Dyeing and Printing Innovation, Textile Materials Innovation, Garment Automation Innovation, and Green and Sustainable Technology Innovation. It will also include Factory Innovation Pavilions, an Open Innovation Area, six technical seminars and a plenary session on “Strategy for Systemic Innovation Implementation.”
Around 50 factories and 200 technology and solution providers are expected to exhibit, with about 5,000 visitors, including 100 brands and buyers and over 200 delegates from more than 30 countries.
The Textile Innovation Award 2026 will recognise contributions to factory-level innovation across eight categories. Winners will be announced after the evaluation process.
