Unimart's campaign poster for the low-price initiative
Retail superstore chain Unimart has launched a new customer-centric initiative titled (Your Comfort, Our Joy) aimed at making daily shopping more affordable for households. Covering over 3,500 essential products, the initiative passes on benefits to consumers through enhanced operational efficiency, direct sourcing, and a conscious reduction in the company's own profit margins.
Recognizing the ongoing financial considerations for households, Unimart is adopting a proactive stance to deliver enhanced value without compromising on product quality or service standards.
Commenting on the campaign, Gazi Mahfuzur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer of Unimart, stated that easing the financial pressure of daily shopping is central to supporting customers in the current market environment. He noted that standing by consumers requires more than just ensuring product quality and service, emphasizing that the new initiative aims to translate the retailer's commitment into tangible savings for its patrons.
Central to the initiative is a series of internal operational improvements designed to curb expenses and minimize waste. Unimart is optimizing resource utilization across its daily operations and implementing energy-efficient practices, such as maximizing natural daylight usage in outlets and optimizing air conditioning efficiency to reduce power consumption.
Furthermore, the retailer is strengthening its direct sourcing network to bypass intermediaries and lower procurement costs. In addition to financial savings, direct sourcing enables Unimart to exercise stricter oversight regarding product quality and authenticity across its supply chain, storage, and handling processes.
Beyond operational cost management, Unimart has voluntarily accepted lower profit margins on select everyday essentials. By combining internal efficiencies, streamlined procurement, and margin reductions, the company is delivering competitive pricing across 3,500 items while preserving its core standards.
The initiative relies on the collaborative efforts of Unimart staff, brand partners, and suppliers, whose collective engagement ensures consistent product availability and service quality. Through this effort, Unimart aims to make daily grocery shopping more accessible and rewarding for its customer base.
