AmCham officials at the press conference on the 30th US Trade Show 2026
The 30th US Trade Show 2026 will begin in the capital on 5 November, marking 30 years of expanding commercial ties between Bangladesh and the United States.
The three-day exhibition will be inaugurated at the InterContinental Dhaka hotel and will run until 7 November.
Organised by the American Chamber of Commerce in Bangladesh (AmCham), the show will feature 43 organisations occupying 63 booths. Organisers expect between 10,000 and 15,000 visitors over the three days.
AmCham shared the details at a press conference at the InterContinental Dhaka on Monday. AmCham President Syed Mohammad Kamal, Vice President Ala Uddin Ahmad, Adviser Paul Frost, Secretary Chowdhury Kaiser Mohammad Riyad and member Al Amin M Russel were among the leaders present.
Kamal said one of the main objectives is to showcase American products, services, technology and innovation to Bangladeshi buyers and businesspeople.
The event also aims to expand trade between the two countries, increase investment and create opportunities for new business partnerships.
US goods and services trade with Bangladesh totaled an estimated $13.7 billion in 2025, up 10.3% ($1.3 billion) from 2024.
To make attendance easier, a three-day online visitor pass is being introduced this year. Visitors can register online to obtain the pass and enter the exhibition every day from 5 to 7 November.
Alongside the trade show, six thematic seminars will be held over the three days, with policymakers, business leaders and sector experts taking part. The sessions will discuss Bangladesh’s economic priorities, investment prospects and ways to expand business cooperation between the two countries.
Seminar topics include power and energy; healthcare and medical technology; information and communication technology and the digital economy; women’s leadership; and investment opportunities in the United States.
Business delegations from American chambers of commerce in various US states will participate. During their visit, they will meet local businesses, assess investment prospects and explore new areas of commercial cooperation. Organisers hope this will build new connections and partnerships between businesspeople of the two countries.
The exhibition will run daily from 10am to 8pm at the InterContinental Dhaka from 5 to 7 November. AmCham has urged those interested to register online for the three-day visitor pass.
AmCham president said one of the most important issues we have been pursuing is the potential for increased US investment in Bangladesh.
The US investment in Bangladesh over the preceding 15 years had amounted to approximately $5 billion. Bangladesh can attract another $5 billion in US investment over the next four and a half to five years.
“Energy security is one of the most critical factors. Investors need reliable and uninterrupted energy supplies before making long-term investment decisions. Alongside energy security, we need a predictable policy environment, regulatory improvements, and a stronger investment framework,” he added.
