The City Bank PLC
The City Bank PLC has reported a 20 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit after tax for the first nine months of 2026 compared to the same period last year.
The bank released its financial results for the third quarter of 2026 at an online meeting on November 4, sharing detailed information with investors, equity analysts and media representatives. The event was streamed live worldwide via the internet.
According to the financial report, the bank's consolidated earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 4.96 during January-September 2026, up from Tk 4.13 (diluted) in the corresponding period of 2025.
The bank's consolidated profit after tax reached Tk 867.38 crore in the first nine months of this year, compared to Tk 722.19 crore during the same period last year.
At the financial results presentation, City Bank Additional Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Md Mahbubur Rahman provided a detailed overview of various aspects of the bank's financial performance.
City Bank Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Masrur Arefin outlined the bank's recent strategic position and future plans.
Deputy Managing Director and Head of Wholesale Banking Mesbaul Asif Siddiqui and Chief Risk Officer Mohammad Firoz Alam were also present at the event.
During the concluding session, participants raised various questions, which were addressed by the panel members.
Over the past few years, City Bank's business performance and continued progress have attracted the attention of international investors. The bank expects the initiative to further strengthen its engagement and relations with investors.
