Thailand-based Insee Cement has officially launched its new European-engineered product, "Insee Ultima," in the Bangladesh market under the theme "The Ultimate Solution for Sustainable Construction." The grand unveiling took place recently at the Fortis Downtown Resort on Madani Avenue in Dhaka, company officials announced on Tuesday (October 13).
The launch event was attended by top management, including CEO and Managing Director Dr. Kanthasat Boontem, Commercial Director Mohammad Abu Sayeed, Head of Manufacturing G. M. G. Mostafa, Head of Finance and Controlling Abrar Ahmed Mostafa, Director of HR, Admin, IT, and Company Secretary Mohammad Ali Bostami, and Advisor to the CEO and cement industry veteran P. N. Iyer.
A technical panel discussion titled "From Long-Term Strength to Sustainable Performance" was held alongside the launch, featuring civil engineering experts BUET Professor Dr. Syed Ishtiaq Ahmad, Professor Dr. Raquib Ahsan, and industry specialist P. N. Iyer.
During the panel, experts emphasized that while 28-day concrete strength remains a conventional benchmark, continuous long-term compressive strength development and durability are equally vital. They highlighted technical best practices, including accurate aggregate-sand-cement mix ratios, balanced water-cement ratios, proper pouring techniques, and systematic water curing. The session also underscored the environmental footprint of construction materials, structural durability, and the extensive multi-stage technical testing conducted by the Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) and BUET prior to commercial release.
Insee Cement reaffirmed its commitment to advancing safe, durable, and sustainable national infrastructure through its latest product offering.
