NCP convener Nahid Islam speaks to journalists at the Gaibandha Zilla Parishad hall room
National Citizens Party (NCP) convener and opposition chief whip Nahid Islam said that the current government is running the country by cheating on the popular vote. If the government wants to complete its five-year term, it will have to implement the referendum verdict and fully implement the July Charter.
He said these things while talking to media personnel before a regional coordination meeting organized by the District Citizens Party at the Gaibandha Zilla Parishad Hallroom around 10:30 am on Friday (November 6).
Nahid Islam said that the BNP government has cheated on the popular vote and the popular vote of the referendum by not taking the oath as per the July Charter implementation order. The previous fascist Awami League government also tried to stay in power by force, but ultimately failed.
He also said that if the government wants to complete its five-year term, it must implement the referendum verdict and fully implement the July Charter.
