The 4th meeting of the Board of Governors of the Institute of Information and Communication Technology (IICT) was held at Rajshahi University of Engineering and Technology (RUET).
The meeting took place today in the conference room of the RUET Vice-Chancellor.
The meeting was presided over by Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S M Abdur Razzak. During the meeting, the scope of work of IICT was presented and discussed in detail.
The meeting was conducted by IICT Director and Member Secretary of the Committee, Professor Dr. Robiul Islam.
Also present at the meeting were Dean of the Faculty of Applied Science and Humanities at RUET Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Kader Jilani, Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering Professor Dr. Bashir Ahmed and Director of the Directorate of Research and Extension Professor Dr. Abdul Khalek.
Professor Dr. Md. Ekramul Hamid from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Chairman of Nilsagor Group Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib, Managing Director of Telecom Bangladesh Ltd. Nurul Mabud Chowdhury, and Managing Director of Bangladesh Submarine Cables PLC Md. Aslam Hossain were also present.
Meanwhile, Engineer Ahsan Habib, Chairman of Nilsagor Group and Publisher and Editor of the daily newspaper Khola Kagoj, paid a courtesy call on RUET Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S M Abdur Razzak.
He visited the Vice-Chancellor's office today this noon. During the visit, Engineer Md. Ahsan Habib recounted the memories of his student life, spent at RUET.
At the end of the discussion, Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. S M Abdur Razzak presented him with an honorary crest.
Director of the Directorate of Students’ Welfare Professor Dr. Md. Robiul Islam Sarker and Chief Engineer Md. Shahadat Hossain were also present at the event.
