The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has finalized the appointment and posting roadmap for 14,384 provisionally selected candidates for assistant teacher positions in government primary schools across the country.
Under administrative directives issued by the ministry's Vidyalaya-2 wing, appointment letters must be issued to the selected candidates by September 24. Recruits will officially join their respective District Primary Education Offices on October 1, followed by formal posting orders scheduled for release on October 4. In cases where appointment letters cannot be issued within the timeframe, field offices must submit detailed explanations, including quota specifics, to the Directorate of Primary Education by September 28.
Field authorities have been instructed to conduct strict document verification of original academic transcripts, nationality records, and birth certificates before distributing appointment letters. In accordance with the recruitment circular, general candidates had to be between 21 and 32 years of age as of November 30, 2025, with no age affidavits accepted. Final hiring remains strictly contingent upon medical clearance from district civil surgeons and mandatory dope test verification.
The ministry emphasized that appointment orders will be held in abeyance for any candidate found with adverse findings during background checks conducted by local police or the National Security Intelligence (NSI), or who tests positive during drug screenings. The recruitment process began with a written examination across 61 districts on January 9, followed by viva voce assessments for 69,265 shortlisted candidates before the final selection of 14,384 was declared on February 8.
