On the occasion of Independence and National Day 2026, the Bangladesh Air Force (BAF) has conferred honorary commissions on nine personnel, recognising their long service, professionalism, and contributions.
A release of the Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Directorate stated this on Saturday.Under the guidance of Chief of Air Staff of the Bangladesh Air Force Air Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmood Khan, three honorary flying officers were officially conferred the title of honorary flight lieutenant and six master warrant officers were officially conferred the title of honorary flying officer on Independence Day, it said.
The air commanders of the bases or units concerned were present as chief guests and presented the honorary rank badges.
The BAF honorary commissions would be effective from 26 March, the ISPR added.
