Following the prime minister’s oath, cabinet ministers were sworn in first, followed by state ministers.
With the oath taking ceremony, the journey of the new government under the leadership of Tarique Rahman officially began. This also marks the return of a BNP- led government after nearly two decades.
The 25 ministers are--Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir (Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Cooperatives), Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury (Ministry of Finance and Planning), Salahuddin Ahmed (Ministry of Home Affairs), Iqbal Hasan Mahmud (Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources), Hafiz Uddin Ahmed (Ministry of Liberation War Affairs), Abu Zafar Md Zahid Hossain (Ministry of Women and Children Affairs and Social Welfare), Khalilur Rahman(technocrat, Ministry of Foreign Affairs), Nitai Roy (Ministry of Cultural Affairs), Abdul Awal Mintoo (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change), Shah Mofazzal Hossain Kaikobad (Ministry of Religious Affairs), Mizanur Rahman Minu (Ministry of Land), Khandaker Abdul Muktadir (Ministry of Commerce, Industries, Textile and Jute).
Ariful Haque Chowdhury was given charge of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, Labour and Employment, Zahir Uddin Swapan (Ministry of Information and Broadcasting), Aminur Rashid (Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Fisheries and Livestock), Afroza Khanam Rita (Ministry of Civil Aviation and Tourism), Shaheed Uddin Chowdhury Anee (Ministry of Water Resources), Asadul Habib Dulu (Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief), Md Asaduzzaman (Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs), Zakaria Taher (Ministry of Housing and Public Works), Dipon Dewan (Ministry of Chittagong Hill Tracts Affairs), A N M Ehsanul Haque Milon (Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Primary and Mass Education), Sardar Sakhawat Hossain (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare), Fakir Mahbub Anam (Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Ministry of Science and Technology) and Shaikh Rabiul Alam (Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, Railways and Shipping).

Zunayed Saki was appointed as the state minister of Ministry of Finance and Planning, Ishraque Hossain (Ministry of Liberation War Affairs), Farzana Sharmin (Ministry of Women and Children Affairs, Ministry of Social Welfare), Shaikh Faridul Islam (Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Ministry of Religious Affairs, and Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs), Nurul Haq Nur (Ministry of Labour and Employment, and Ministry of Expatriates' Welfare & Overseas Employment), Yasir Khan Chowdhury(Ministry of Information and Broadcasting), M Iqbal Hossain (Ministry of Disaster Management and Relief), M A Muhit (Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Ministry of Science and Technology), Ahmed Sohel Manzur (Ministry of Housing and Public Works), Bobby Hajjaj (Ministry of Education, and Ministry of Primary and Mass Education) and Ali Newaz Mahmud Khaiyam (Ministry of Cultural Affairs).
The swearing-in ceremony was attended by several hundred guests, including political leaders, senior civil servants, diplomats and representatives of international organizations.
With the cabinet now in place, the Tarique Rahman-led government is expected to begin policy implementation immediately, focusing on governance, economic management and post-election stability.
