Nobel Peace Prize laureate Muhammad Yunus resumed his former responsibilities on Sunday after an 18-month hiatus during which he led Bangladesh’s interim government.
He arrived in the morning at the Yunus Centre, located at Telecom Bhaban in Mirpur, where he was warmly received by his longtime colleagues and associates, said a Facebook statement.
Following his arrival, Prof Yunus held meetings with representatives of various Grameen organisations, as well as managing directors and advisers of the Yunus Centre.
Discussions reportedly focused on ongoing activities and future plans of the organisations.
The 2006 Nobel Peace Prize winner is also expected to return to his residence in Gulshan, Dhaka, by the end of this month.
