Bangladesh and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing cooperation in religious affairs, cultural exchange and people-to-people connectivity.
The announcement came during a courtesy call by UAE Ambassador Abdulla Ali Abdulla Al Hmoudi on Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Houssain Kaikobad at Secretariat on Tuesday, according to an official statement.
The meeting underscored the historic and fraternal ties between the two nations, with both sides expressing a shared resolve to elevate bilateral relations to broader and more substantive dimensions. Discussions focused on strengthening cooperation in religious matters, promoting cultural exchange and fostering closer people-to-people contacts.
Special attention was given to leveraging digital technologies to modernize religious services, enhance institutional capacity and develop religious and moral education in an effective and contemporary way.
Both officials emphasized deepening collaboration based on shared values, cultural heritage and a common vision for social and spiritual advancement.
The meeting concluded in a spirit of goodwill and strategic partnership, reflecting the two countries’ intention to advance their enduring relationship in the years ahead.
