The Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party (Ansar-VDP) has reached the final stages of preparation to ensure a free, fair, and peaceful environment for the upcoming Bogura-6 (Sadar) by-election and the Sherpur-3 (Sribardi-Jhenaigati) parliamentary election. The force has been organized under an integrated and accountable framework, combining professionalism, neutrality, and technology-driven management.Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud, Director General of Ansar-VDP, attended a preparatory rally as the chief guest at the Jhenaigati Upazila Stadium in Sherpur today.The rally saw the participation of members assigned to 128 polling stations in the Sherpur-3 constituency. Notably, a live connection was established with a simultaneous rally in Bogura via state-of-the-art giant screens, showcasing a new dimension in coordination, supervision, and technological capability.For the elections scheduled for April 9, 2026, a total of 3,694 personnel will be deployed across 278 polling stations:Sherpur-3: 1,704 members across 128 stations. Bogura Sadar: 1,990 members across 150 stations. Per Station: 13 members, including one armed Ansar member specifically assigned to ensure the security of the Presiding Officer.
Election Protection App: Two members at each polling station will act as "End Users" of this app. Striking Teams: Eight striking teams (4 per constituency) comprising 80 Ansar Battalion members will serve as "App Responders" for immediate tactical support. AVMIS & STDMS Software: Deployment has been managed through the AVMIS software to ensure merit-based selection. Furthermore, the STDMS software will facilitate direct allowance payments to bank accounts, ensuring financial transparency and accountability.During his address, the Director General emphasized that a fair election is a sacred trust from the people.

"No negligence or betrayal of duty will be tolerated. You must maintain public trust through honesty, dedication, and professionalism," said Major General Abdul Motaleb Sazzad Mahmud.The Director General also highlighted that while election security is a priority, the force is equally committed to the welfare of its members. He announced the pilot launch of the 'Sanjibon' project at the upazila level. This initiative aims to create small entrepreneurs in agriculture, fisheries, and livestock sectors to ensure sustainable livelihoods for Ansar-VDP members.By integrating modern technology with a professional mindset, the Bangladesh Ansar and Village Defence Party remains committed to ensuring a safe and credible electoral environment for the nation.
