On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha 2026, an exchange meeting was held with the imams of all mosques in Rajshahi city regarding preservation of sacrificial animal hides and quick removal of Qurbani waste.
The meeting was held on Thursday afternoon at the Annex Hall Room of Nagar Bhaban. The Administrator of Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) Mahfuzur Rahman Riton was present as chief guest at the program.
Speaking on the occasion, Administrator Mahfuzur Rahman said comprehensive preparations have been made to ensure the quick removal of the upcoming Qurbani waste.
“We want to gift the city residents a clean city the day after Eid. Imams can play an important role in creating public awareness. Everyone's cooperation is needed for this work,” he added.
He also said, "For the first time, on behalf of Rajshahi City Corporation, eco-friendly bags for the hygienic preservation of Qurbani meat and bleaching powder for waste removal, are being provided to citizens."
The meeting was presided over by RCC Chief Executive Officer, Rezaul Karim, while welcome speech was given by Chief Conservancy Officer Sheikh Mamun Dollar.
RCC Secretary Sohel Rana and Executive Magistrate Nazmul Alam were present at the meeting.
The meeting was conducted by Deputy Chief Conservancy Officer Selim Reza Ranju. The respected imams of all mosques in Rajshahi metropolis were present at the meeting.
