Bangladesh recorded 826 new suspected measles cases and five more deaths in the past 24 hours, the country's health authorities said on Thursday.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) bulletin, 51 cases of measles were confirmed between 8am Wednesday and 8am Thursday, with no confirmed death during the same period.
The DGHS said that since 15 March, the total number of confirmed measles cases has stood at 8,885, while suspected cases have reached 67,905.
During the same period, 88 people died from confirmed measles, while 477 deaths were reported among suspected cases.
Besides, a total of 50,926 patients have recovered so far, the DGHS said.
