One more person died of dengue in the country in the last 24 hours, while 110 new patients were admitted to hospitals during the same period, according to the latest dengue situation report.
The information was disclosed in a press release issued today by the Health Emergency Operation Center and Control Room of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
According to the release, among the newly hospitalized patients, 35 were admitted in Barishal Division (outside city corporation areas), 12 in Chattogram Division (outside city corporation areas), 15 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporation areas), one in Dhaka North City Corporation, 12 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 21 in Khulna Division (outside city corporation areas), eight in Mymensingh Division (outside city corporation areas), five in Rajshahi Division (outside city corporation areas), and one in Sylhet Division (outside city corporation areas).
During the last 24 hours, 83 dengue patients were discharged from hospitals. With this, the total number of recoveries and hospital discharges this year has reached 3,138.
The release said a total of 3,307 dengue cases have been recorded across the country so far this year. Of them, 62.6 percent are male and 37.4 percent are female. The death toll from the disease this year now stands at six.
According to DGHS data, a total of 102,861 dengue cases and 413 dengue-related deaths were recorded in 2025.
In 2024, the country reported 101,214 dengue infections and 575 deaths from the mosquito-borne disease.
