Prime Minister Tarique Rahman
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman called on global leaders to work together on the basis of mutual cooperation, empathy, and shared responsibility to attain the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The Prime Minister made the appeal in a video message sent to the "SDG Moment" event organized by the United Nations on Saturday (September 19), confirmed Assistant Press Secretary to the Prime Minister K M Nazmul Haque.
In his video address, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman emphasized: "We are lagging significantly behind in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. We must now take effective measures and work together in unison." He underscored the necessity of reinforcing international partnerships, exchanging knowledge and expertise, and executing collective initiatives to implement the global goals.
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to depart Dhaka for New York on Monday (September 21) to attend the high-level general debate of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA-81).
