Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in bilateral engagements on the sidelines of the 81st UNGA session
Prime Minister Tarique Rahman held separate bilateral sideline meetings with Bhutanese Prime Minister Dasho Tshering Tobgay and Maldivian Vice President Uz. Hussain Mohamed Latheef at the United Nations Headquarters in New York on Tuesday.
The engagements took place on the margins of the 81st Session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA).
During the meetings, the leaders reviewed existing bilateral ties and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening friendship and close diplomatic cooperation between Bangladesh, Bhutan, and the Maldives. The discussions centered on mutual interests, regional connectivity, and shared priorities within multilateral forums.
The leaders also explored potential avenues to expand bilateral cooperation across key socioeconomic sectors to advance the welfare and mutual prosperity of their respective citizens.
