Prime Minister Tarique Rahman chairs the Cabinet meeting at the Secretariat
The Cabinet has emphasized ramping up the adoption and expansion of renewable energy sources to tackle ongoing energy challenges and ensure sustainable national power security. In addition, the council of ministers issued directives to maintain strict vigilance against the entry of hazardous chemical substances into the country and instructed relevant authorities to expedite ongoing development projects.
These decisions were discussed during a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Secretariat on Monday afternoon (October 12), according to multiple sources present at the session.
Sources confirmed that the Cabinet specifically directed authorities to ensure the practical adoption of renewable power solutions at the field level. Furthermore, in view of the upcoming Sharadiya Durga Puja, administration and law enforcement officials were advised to remain on high alert so that the festivities proceed without disruptions.
