Rabiul Islam Noyon, Joint General Secretary of Central Juba Dal and Member Secretary of Dhaka Metropolitan South Juba Dal, alleged that a section of the administration in Magura is actively sidelining dedicated, victimized BNP activists while extending institutional privileges to members of the Chhatra League and Jamaat-Shibir.
Speaking as the chief guest at a party workers' conference organized by Nahata Union BNP in Mohammadpur upazila, Magura, on Saturday afternoon, Noyon claimed these administrative maneuvers represent an underhanded conspiracy targeting BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman.
"Across administrative activities in Magura, we are observing that committed and historically persecuted BNP activists are being intentionally excluded to accommodate Chhatra League and Jamaat-Shibir cadres," Noyon asserted. "The General Secretary of Magura Government College Jhatra Dal was arbitrarily removed from the 'Family Card' data enumeration program."
He further claimed that among 92 supervisors and data enumerators deployed in Mohammadpur upazila, 25 are active Chhatra League members. Despite upazila BNP leaders submitting formal appeals with documentary proof to senior bureaucratic authorities, no corrective measures have been implemented, he added.
Issuing a stern warning, Noyon stated: "Through these calculated actions, a vested faction within the bureaucracy is covertly conspiring against Tarique Rahman, the focal point of BNP's political devotion. Those orchestrating conspiracies against the BNP and Tarique Rahman will not be spared an inch of ground across Magura and the Magura-2 constituency. If necessary, fresh protest movements will be mobilized against them."
Turning to upcoming grassroots balloting, the youth wing leader noted that union parishad elections are scheduled in a few months, urging voters to elect qualified candidates to bolster Tarique Rahman's leadership.
The conference, held on the grounds of Nahata Rani Patit Secondary School, was chaired by former Mohammadpur Upazila Parishad Chairman and former upazila BNP General Secretary Md. Jahangir Alam Khan Bachchu, with local leaders of the party and affiliated wings in attendance.
