Water Resources Minister Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie
Referring to the banned Awami League, Minister for Water Resources Shahid Uddin Chowdhury Annie stated on Friday that there is absolutely no scope for fugitives to carry out organizational activities, urging citizens to remain vigilant against sporadic attempts to incite unrest.
The Minister made these remarks as the chief guest at an introductory meeting of the newly constituted union and ward committees of the Mahila Dal at Dattapara Union in Chandraganj Upazila of Lakshmipur.
"Those who fled on August 5, 2024, saw their organization banned due to 17 years of misdeeds," Annie remarked. "There is no scope for them to conduct any organizational activities. They attempt isolated and scattered mischief, which is why everyone must remain alert and watchful."
Addressing opposition political parties, the Water Resources Minister urged patience regarding governance, noting that a government cannot resolve every challenge overnight. "Those in the opposition must realize that the BNP is the ruling party and it is impossible to accomplish everything within six months. Is it fitting for the opposition to jump into rallies, meetings, long marches, and road marches at every turn?" he questioned.
