Janata Bank PLC has introduced a “Visa Dual Currency Debit Card” to provide customers with modern and technology-driven banking services. The card was officially inaugurated by Financial Institutions Division Secretary NazmaMobarek, who joined the program virtually as the chief guest on Sunday, 12th April. The inauguration ceremony was presided over by Chairman Md. FazlurRahman.
Special guests included Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Debdulal Roy, Joint Secretary of the Financial Institutions Division and Chief Innovation Officer Farida Yasmin, and the bank’s Managing Director Md. MaziburRahman. Among others present were Deputy Managing Directors KaziAbdurRahman and Md. Fayez Alam, General Manager of the ICT Division Mohammad Anis, along with senior officials from the head office and branch managers who joined virtually. In her speech, the chief guest described the launch of the card as a significant milestone for Janata Bank. With this dual currency card, customers will be able to make online purchases both domestically and internationally (with passport endorsement), book flights and hotels, recharge mobile phones, and withdraw cash in local currency from Visa network ATMs worldwide, along with accessing various other payment services.
