As part of its vision to become one of the world's leading global electronics brands, tech giant Walton has initiated the construction of the country’s largest state-of-the-art, sustainable, and green iconic office building in the capital. Recognizing that global expansion requires not only manufacturing excellence but also a highly efficient, organized, and modern working environment, the company aims to create an 1.8 million square foot facility designed for rapid decision-making and maximum productivity.
To bring this ambitious project to life, Walton High-Tech Industries PLC signed separate agreements on Sunday, May 3, 2026, with three renowned firms—Vistara Architects Private Limited, Abode of Consultants Private Limited, and BN Engineering. These firms will serve as consultants for the architectural, construction, and engineering aspects of the "Walton Iconic Tower."
The formal signing ceremony took place at the Walton Corporate Office in the presence of Walton High-Tech's Chairman S.M. Shamsul Alam, Directors S.M. Nurul Alam Rezvi and S.M. Rezaul Alam, and Managing Director S.M. Mahbubul Alam. The agreements were signed by Walton’s CFO and Additional Managing Director Md. Ziaul Alam along with Professor Dr. M. Shamim Z. Bosunia, Chairman of Abode of Consultants; Architect Mustapha Khalid Palash, Managing Director of Vistara Architects; and Abul Bashar Mohammad Abdul Kabir, CEO of BN Engineering.
During the event, S.M. Mahbubul Alam emphasized that a superior workplace is more than just aesthetics; it is an environment that fosters creativity and allows employees to reach their full potential. He noted that this iconic mega office complex represents Bangladesh's industrial capability, technological progress, and confidence in competing on the global stage. He further highlighted that the project is a commitment to a responsible and sustainable future, leveraging the international expertise of the chosen consultants to ensure a world-class installation.
Architect Mustapha Khalid Palash expressed his pride in collaborating with Walton, a company he described as the pride of the nation. He stated that the architectural design of the tower will prioritize "green building" concepts, focusing heavily on energy-efficient technologies and the integration of renewable energy sources to align with modern environmental standards.
The project will be situated on 14.3 bighas of land with a total planned area of approximately 1.8 million square feet. In the initial phase, a 13-story sophisticated green office building covering roughly 900,000 square feet will be constructed on 7 bighas of land, featuring three extensive basements to support its operations.
