Walton has officially launched the export shipment of its printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) to the United States, marking a significant milestone for Bangladesh’s high-tech manufacturing sector. The inauguration ceremony was held on Thursday (June 18, 2026) at the headquarters of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC in Chandra, Gazipur.
The export shipment was formally inaugurated by the Minister of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, and Science and Technology, Fakhrul Mahbub Anam, alongside the Prime Minister’s ICT Affairs Adviser Rehan Asif Asad. Senior officials, including Gazipur-1 MP Mujibur Rahman and top executives of Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC, were also present at the event.
According to officials, Walton’s locally manufactured PCBAs and motherboards will be used in advanced security devices, including gunshot detection and emergency rescue systems in the United States. The products are being imported by SafepPro Technologies Inc., a Wisconsin-based technology company known for its safety and life-saving security solutions across American educational institutions and public spaces.
During the visit, the ministers and ICT adviser toured Walton’s advanced manufacturing facilities, including SMT motherboard production lines, TV panel clean rooms, PCB units, and mold and die sections. They expressed admiration for the scale, technology, and quality standards of the facilities.
The ICT Minister praised Walton as a symbol of national pride, stating that Bangladesh has proven its capability to produce world-class advanced technology products. He also highlighted government efforts to support local industry growth through policy incentives and tax reforms aimed at boosting domestic manufacturing.
Walton officials said the company continues to expand its global footprint by exporting high-tech products to more than 55 countries across Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. The company aims to further strengthen its international brand presence and become one of the leading global electronics manufacturers in the coming years.
