Amidst the gas crisis, the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has fixed the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the month of September. The new retail price of 12 kg LPG cylinder has been reduced from 1,598 taka to 1,585 taka. The company announced this new price on Wednesday (September 2). In addition, the price of 5.5 kg cylinder is 727 taka, 12.5 kg cylinder is 1,652 taka, 15 kg is 1,982 taka, 16 kg is 2,114 taka, 18 kg is 2,378 taka, 20 kg is 2,642 taka, 22 kg is 2,907 taka, 25 kg is 3,303 taka, 30 kg is 3,964 taka, 33 kg is 4,360 taka, 35 kg is 4,624 taka, and 45 kg is 5,945 taka. The company said that the new price will be effective from 6 pm on Wednesday. The new price will remain in effect until further orders. The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) sets the new price of LPG and autogas every month based on the price of LPG in the international market and other related costs. Meanwhile, a meeting was held with edible oil traders in the Commerce Ministry's room on Wednesday (September 2). The meeting allowed a price adjustment of Tk 5 per liter.
