The second meeting of the Perfumes & Cosmetics Business Group (PCBG) was recently held at the Dubai Chamber of Commerce & Industry, bringing together leading entrepreneurs, industry experts, founders and executives from the perfumes and cosmetics sector to discuss industry growth, collaboration and strategic initiatives.
The meeting was chaired by Mr. Mohammed Mahtabur Rahman, Chairman and Managing Director of Al Haramain Perfumes LLC and Chairman of PCBG. Dr. (CA) Sahitya K. Chaturvedi, General Manager of Ajmal Perfumes and CEO/Secretary General of PCBG, was also present at the meeting.
Among the PCBG board members and members in attendance were Mr. Abdulla Ajmal, CEO of Ajmal Perfumes; Mr. Siraj Kalserkar, Partner and Managing Director of Rasasi Perfumes Manufacturing LLC; Mr. Mohammed Shakeel, Business Head of Apparel LLC; Dr. Mona Hussain, CEO and Founder of Naturally Number One Cosmetics Manufacturing Co. L.L.C.; Mr. Saeed Mohamed Ahmed AlNuaimi, CEO and Founder of The Scent Library Perfumery; Mr. Asem Abdulrazzag, Manager and CEO of NFAS Trading LLC; and Ms. Sepide Uhlmann, CEO of Neu Cosmetics DMCC and Neu Cosmetics Trading LLC.
Representing Dubai Chambers, Ms. Fatma Al Najmi, Manager – Performance & Development, and Mr. Zuhair Iskandarani, Relations Manager – Business Relations, also attended the meeting. Members of the Policy Advocacy Team were present as well.
The meeting focused on strengthening collaboration among industry stakeholders, addressing key policy issues and advancing a collective vision for the perfumes and cosmetics sector in Dubai and the wider UAE.
Participants discussed a range of important issues concerning the development of the perfumes and cosmetics industry, with particular emphasis on enhancing cooperation among entrepreneurs and businesses, identifying policy matters affecting the sector and undertaking coordinated initiatives in the collective interest of the industry.
The participants also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation among industry stakeholders to make the UAE's perfumes and cosmetics sector more competitive and sustainable. They highlighted the need for effective coordination and communication between industry representatives and policymakers to support the long-term growth and development of the sector.
The meeting further strengthened PCBG's role as a platform for collaboration, policy advocacy and strategic coordination among leading players in Dubai's perfumes and cosmetics industry.
