Partnership aims to promote South Asian knowledge exchange and amplify Bangladeshi research and voices
Kaisay with Raja Jawad, a podcast and media platform run by Islamabad-based communications company Persuasion (Pvt.) Ltd., has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Research and Policy Integration for Development (RAPID), a non-partisan policy research organisation in Bangladesh.
The partnership aims to bring Bangladeshi research, ideas and voices into conversations reaching audiences across South Asia.
Raja Jawad, host of Kaisay and managing director of Persuasion, signed the MoU with RAPID Chairman Dr Mohammad Abdur Razzaque, a Bangladeshi economist, in Dhaka on September 26. Zara Mustafa, research associate at RAPID, was also present.
The agreement is part of Kaisay's broader plan to host conversations across South Asia, including Sri Lanka, Nepal and other countries. Details of those initiatives will be developed separately.
The partnership with RAPID will focus specifically on Bangladesh, combining the think tank's research and policy expertise with Persuasion's experience in development communications, storytelling and public engagement.
"South Asia has much to learn from itself," Raja Jawad said after signing the agreement.
"Bangladesh and Pakistan bring different experiences, but many of the challenges facing our people, from livelihoods to inequality, are shared. As global cooperation shifts and AI and automation change the nature of work, listening to one another matters more than ever."
He said the partnership would help bring Bangladesh's knowledge and experience into wider regional conversations.
Specific activities under the partnership will be developed jointly in the coming months.
