Mohammad Ashraful.
Mohammad Ashraful has been removed from his position as the batting coach of the Bangladesh national cricket team, confirming the development himself in recent remarks.
The coaching change comes just days ahead of the upcoming Test series against the West Indies, scheduled to get underway this Wednesday.
The decision is widely viewed as fallout from the national team's batting collapse during the recent tri-nation series in the United Arab Emirates. Bangladesh was bundled out for sub-200 totals in both fixtures, crashing out of the tournament ahead of the final.
Ashraful's contractual agreement with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) runs through February next year. While relieved of his duties with the senior men's national team, he stated that he will remain with the cricket board in an alternative capacity until his contractual tenure concludes
